Objectives

Drawing on the experiences of the EU and the US in bridging the gaps in climate risk insurance, this session aims to delve deeper into the key challenges associated with climate change insurance, explore the concept of economic resilience associated with addressing these risks, and highlight the imperatives and associated tools required to overcome these challenges and create an environment in which the public and private sectors cooperate effectively, including clarifying the roles that each actor should play on this topic.

  • What are the challenges we are faced with when thinking about climate change insurance and how to ensure that risks are comprehensively assessed as a whole?
